Eric Nelsen has over 30 years of healthcare sales experience including several years in pharmaceutical sales. These years give Eric the hands-on and front-line sales experience necessary to understand the challenges facing the new sales person who is expected to produce referral business.
The majority of Eric’s years in healthcare have been in sales management for skilled nursing business. His experience has successfully increased revenue for such companies as Sun, Kindred and HCR-Manor Care and. During these years Eric brought his extensive hospital experience to the Nurse Liaison program teaching them how to productively maneuver through the hospitals with ease and how to use the exposure to physicians and hospital staff to benefit their company. This experience led Eric to be the logical choice to join the HCR-Manor Care National Sales Trainers. In this national position, Eric participated in the development and roll-out of Manor Care’s National Sales Training program, assisting in the writing and development of key components and conducting training seminars for Administrators, Executive Directors, corporate management and field sales staff nationally. This training encompassed Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospice as well as the 360+ skilled nursing center teams.
Eric also worked many years with Knoll Pharmaceuticals as both sales representative and Field Sales Trainer, and with Sun Healthcare Group as a Clinical Liaison and as a Marketing Manager. It makes a difference. Training delivered by a talented sales trainer quadruples in value when that trainer has walked in the shoes of his students.
